Did you know that Nikola Tesla patented the first ozone generator in the USA in 1896?

Ozone takes its name from the Greek word ozone, thanks to the unusual odor that is caused by lightning in strong storms.

Ozone (O3, a pale blue gas with a certain odor) was first discovered in 1840 by a German-Swiss chemist named Christian Friedrich Schönbein.

The first ozone generator was developed in 1857 by the French chemist Marius Paul Otto after studying its powerful disinfecting properties. Its first use was disinfection, sterilization, elimination of some odors and toxins, storage of products.

In 1896 the great Nikola Tesla patented the first ozone generator in the United States. Tesla also founded the Tesla Ozone Company in the late 19th century.
